SESSIONS, FEES & REBATES
At Vara Psychology we are focused on providing the best quality service to you in a timely manner. That’s why you won’t need a Mental Health Care Plan, Private Health Insurance, DVA, or another funding pathway to access support.

However there are options available if you’d like to lower the cost of your appointment.

Session Details & Fees
All sessions are 50 minutes and available online or in-person. Double sessions (100 minutes) can be booked for clients who prefer longer appointments.

Cancellation Policy
Appointments cancelled with more than 24 hours' notice will not incur a fee. Missed appointments or cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

Our Fees
Our rates are below industry-recommended fees. From 1 July 2025, the recommended fee from the Australian Psychological Society (APS) is $318 per session, and $330 from the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi).

Medicare Rebates & Insurance
You don't need a GP referral to book a session; however, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP to access a Medicare rebate. We accept Private Health Insurance and DVA cards.
